I have recently returned from Longleat I was booked in from the 20th July to the 27th but only stayed less than 5 days ,on arrival getting booked in was asked the details of my dog , when I found the lodge I received a phone call stating that I hadn’t booked my dog on my booking , this I found hard to believe as when you are looking for availability it asks if you are bringing a dog and I filled in yes , then it showed me what was available , I was informed that no dog friendly lodges were available now and was charged £115 to stay in the lodge , I had already payed £1;116 for the holiday , while I except that Covid -19 has affected a lot of things ,to find out that no shops were open , none of the places that I could have eaten outside and take my dog were open , I couldn’t even go on the tour bus around the village as he wasn’t a guide dog , even though it was quite open , I spent the majority of the time in my lodge as I was there on my own or taking the dog for a walk . My partner and I are both key workers and have slogged our guts out during this pandemic, helping people affected by the virus, and our visit is now tainted by centre parcs greed. Having reviewed Centre Parcs Sherwood on another site complaining that two basic villas without a pool facility at a cost of £2800 with the discount for 3 NIGHTS was overpriced, CP said that they were competitively priced. Loading day gets very busy with cars, which is, understandable, but there are a number of people who leave their cars outside their lodges, which is un-policed and a little un-fair to others. Elveden centre parcs Got the last lodge available after our lanzarote holiday was cancelled The lodge could have done with a bit of tlc but the staff were fantastic everywhere.... amazing holiday beautiful weather thankyou so much, The worst customer services ever after booking in line activities for 13 people on arrival was told only 8 people can enter as they was no longer doing day passes and people not staying at centre should come back to next day to take part in the activities that we booked into and did not make senses as they said no guest could enter the day before so on the day they then said they could no longer let the extra 5 people in even though we had paid for it so we said could we get a full refund as the main reason people go centre parc is because it’s a family holiday they agreed so as far as we was aware all had been cancelled so no one should added them later when asked for the refund they changed there mind for the 3rd time and said they could only part refund for the 5 people not staying at the parc and by this time all activities we was booked the time had passed and didn’t even offer to book us on new activities for the next day for the same cost.They seem to be struggling to keep up with the cost and keep steeling from people so now I will have to take legal action just because they didn’t want to refund on a service we never used and did not keep there promise what a joke Woburn you’ve gone down hill you need to train your staff so they all deliver the same massage.Crooks. I found guest services very rude when approached.
Very high expectations, physically intense, tight deadlines and staff rotation. If anything they should discount their holidays as a goodwill gesture for years of continuous business from UK holiday makers. So effectively 3.5 days holiday. Really impressed and would go again, Hotels near (BHX) Birmingham Intl Airport. Spend wisely and look for somewhere else to stay.
